Alleged Keralam PSC exam scam: Crime Branch arrests former Deputy Secretary P Satheesh

Thiruvananthapuram (Keralam) [India], October 28 (ANI): The Crime Branch has arrested former Keralam Public Service Commission (PSC) Deputy Secretary P Satheesh in connection with alleged irregularities in the Planning Board examination, marking the first arrest in the case, according to the Keralam HMO.
Satheesh, who was in charge of the examination section, was named as an accused in the case a few days ago.
Keralam Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala said the government was committed to uncovering corruption within the PSC and that there would be no compromise in the investigation.
"The corruption in PSC will be coming into the limelight. The Government is committed to unearth all corrupt activities of the PSC. There won't be any compromise on this because lakhs and lakhs of unemployed people are only depending on PSC. This kind of corruption cannot be tolerated," Chennithala said.
He added that the Crime Branch would proceed on the basis of proper records and identify those involved in the alleged irregularities.
"So, the Crime Branch will go ahead with the proper records, and they will definitely unearth all the irregular activities of the PSC. Those who are involved in it will be brought before the law," the Home Minister said.
The arrest comes amid an investigation into alleged irregularities in the Planning Board examination conducted by the Keralam PSC. (ANI)
