Apple likely to launch new iPad Air, iPad Pro and iPad 12 in 2027

Apple likely to launch new iPad Air, iPad Pro and iPad 12 in 2027

California [US], November 2 (ANI): Apple is reportedly planning to launch three new iPad models, including the next-generation iPad Air, iPad Pro and entry-level iPad 12, in the first half of 2027.
The upcoming lineup could bring significant hardware upgrades, including OLED displays, a new cooling system and faster processors, as per GSM Arena.
According to reports obtained by GSM Arena, Apple is preparing to introduce the three tablets during the first half of 2027. The report also details the expected upgrades, suggesting that the company is planning notable changes across its iPad range.
One of the biggest expected upgrades is an OLED display for the next-generation iPad Air. If introduced, this would bring OLED display technology to the Air lineup, following Apple's announcement of a new iPad mini with an OLED display earlier this month.
The next iPad Air is also expected to feature an M5 chip, although this processor upgrade has not been officially confirmed.
The next iPad Pro could receive a new vapour chamber cooling system designed to dissipate heat more effectively and improve sustained performance.
The addition could help the tablet maintain performance during demanding tasks. The upcoming iPad Pro is also expected to move to Apple's M6 chip, though the processor details remain unconfirmed.
Apple's entry-level iPad 12 is also expected to receive several hardware upgrades.
Previously rumoured specifications for the device include an A19 chip, which could enable support for Apple Intelligence. The tablet is also expected to feature Apple's N1 chip with Wi-Fi 7 support.
For cellular variants, Apple could introduce its power-efficient C1X modem.
These upgrades would bring improvements to processing performance, wireless connectivity and cellular efficiency in the entry-level iPad range.
With the expected OLED upgrades for the iPad Air and the recently announced OLED-equipped iPad mini, Apple appears to be expanding OLED technology across its tablet lineup.
However, Apple has not officially confirmed the launch timeline or specifications of the upcoming iPad Air, iPad Pro or iPad 12. The three models are currently expected to arrive in the first half of 2027. (ANI)
