Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh) [India], September 22 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party National President Nitin Nabin on Tuesday said the party will once again form the government in Uttar Pradesh with a “massive majority” in the forthcoming 2027 State Assembly elections, asserting that the public’s participation alongside party workers reflected support for the BJP’s leadership.
Speaking to reporters, Nabin said, “BJP will once again form a government (in UP) with a massive majority in 2027. Seeing the public join party workers on the streets today made it evident how people have rallied in support of our leaders—Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, State President Pankaj ji, and our MPs and MLAs; I am confident we will achieve our mission for 2027...”
Nabin is on a significant two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh on September 21 and 22, which holds immense significance in view of the upcoming Assembly elections.
He said Uttar Pradesh, which was once known for mafia-related activities, was now gaining recognition for developments led by its youth in areas such as semiconductors and Artificial Intelligence.
“A state once notorious for the mafia is now gaining global recognition for youth-led advancements in semiconductors and Artificial Intelligence. Today’s Uttar Pradesh is known for its development, expressways, and new milestones of progress; missiles like the BrahMos are being manufactured here. This is the identity of the new Uttar Pradesh—a source of pride for every party worker and citizen—as we move together towards transforming Uttar Pradesh into 'Uttam Pradesh'...,” Nabin said.
Ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Nabin also visited the Sant Ravidas Temple in Saharanpur and offered prayers.
In a post on X, Nabin said that during his visit to Uttar Pradesh, he interacted with former people's representatives from the western region in Saharanpur.
“During his visit to Uttar Pradesh today, he interacted with the former people's representatives of the western region in Saharanpur. During this, senior leaders were present, along with UP State BJP President Pankaj Chaudhary,” Nabin wrote.

The BJP president's visit comes ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, with the party stepping up its organisational activities in the state. Nitin Nabin led various organisational meetings, public programmes and conferences related to election preparations in Uttar Pradesh. He also visited historical sites and prominent temples to seek blessings, reflecting the BJP’s continued commitment to the values of service, dedication and faith.
Earlier on Monday, BJP National President Nitin Nabin said there is an atmosphere of trust under the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh where the rule of law prevails under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, contrasting it with earlier uncertainty and stalled development.
Addressing a public gathering in Meerut, Nabin said, "Today, we can say that there is an atmosphere of trust under the BJP government; there was a time when an atmosphere of uncertainty prevailed here. Today, we can say that under the leadership of the CM Yogi Adityanath, the rule of law prevails. There was a time when development here had stalled—it had come to a standstill—but today, we can say that Uttar Pradesh has embarked on the path of development and is moving forward towards becoming a developed state."
He accused Congress of never affording respect to Baba Saheb Ambedkar and working to topple his governments, and alleged that Samajwadi Party leaders were attempting to divide the state. (ANI)
