Raipur (Chhattisgarh) [India], October 9 (ANI): Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai on Friday said that 36 fellows from the second batch of the Chief Minister Fellowship Scheme will assist District Collectors in ensuring effective implementation of government schemes and their delivery to the people.
Speaking to ANI, Sai said the participants had completed three months of the programme at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and would now move to the districts to work with the administration.
Highlighting the role of the fellowship in strengthening governance and improving public service delivery, the Chief Minister said the fellows came from diverse educational and professional backgrounds, including engineering.
He said, "It is a matter of great privilege that we have launched the CM Fellowship Scheme in our state. Today, I had the opportunity to meet and interact with the 36 young men and women, our sons and daughters, who make up the second batch. They have now completed three months of the program; they come from diverse backgrounds, including engineering and various other sectors."
“We established a Good Governance Department in our state to ensure a clean and efficient administration. Having spent three months at IIM, these fellows are now heading to the districts, where they will assist District Collectors and work to ensure that government schemes effectively reach the people and are properly implemented," CM added.
The Chief Minister’s Good Governance Fellowship (CMGGF) is a flagship initiative of the Government of Chhattisgarh, announced by the Chief Minister in November 2024.
Exclusively for Chhattisgarh-domiciled candidates, the fellowship focuses on nurturing local talent for the state’s development. It is offered in partnership with IIM Raipur.
Fellows will also participate in regular Samvad sessions with the Chief Minister, providing a platform to share insights, present project outcomes, and contribute directly to key governance initiatives. (ANI)
