Doda (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], August 17 (ANI): A grand Tiranga rally featuring a 200-metre-long National Flag was organised in Doda on Monday as part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and celebrations marking 150 years of Vande Mataram.
The rally was organised by the District Administration, Doda and was held from Ganpat Morh to Ganpat Bridge. Officers, police personnel, departmental staff, students and members of the general public participated in the procession in large numbers.
The rally was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Doda Krishan Lal along with the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda, in the presence of senior civil and police officers.
The event was aimed at promoting patriotism, national unity and civic participation, with people coming together to honour the National Flag and celebrate the spirit of the country.
The 200-metre-long Tricolour was the main attraction of the rally. Participants carried the massive National Flag along the route as the procession moved from Ganpat Morh towards Ganpat Bridge. The sight of the Tricolour being carried through the streets created an atmosphere of patriotism, with participants raising slogans in support of the nation.
A large number of government officials and members of the public joined the rally along its route. The participation included civil administration officials, police personnel, departmental employees, students and local residents. The presence of people from different sections of society reflected the administration's efforts to involve citizens in programmes centred on the National Flag and the values associated with it.
Deputy Commissioner Krishan Lal appreciated the enthusiastic participation of government functionaries and members of the public. He emphasised the importance of such initiatives in strengthening national unity, patriotism and a sense of civic responsibility among citizens.
The rally also served as an occasion for people in Doda to collectively celebrate the National Flag and reinforce the message of unity in diversity.
The large participation of citizens and government functionaries reflected the strong sense of national pride among the people of Doda.
