Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], September 10 (ANI): Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Thursday reiterated the demand for the resignation of Andhra Minister Nara Lokesh and a CBI probe into the DSC 2025, which he alleges is laden with unprecedented irregularities as jobs were given away on a platter to candidates who did not even write the exams.
Speaking to the media, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy highlighted case studies on how jobs were allegedly given away, throwing all caution to the wind and violating all set norms. Jagan further claimed that since the DSC was exposed the coalition had stalled the APPSC exams.
Jagan alleged that jobs were given to candidates based on participation certificates for tournaments which never took place, and termed the DSC as a gem in the list of scams of Chandrababu, and many skeletons are tumbling out with every passing day from the DSC 2025 cupboard.
Jagan further alleged that while CM Chandrababu Naidu has been trying hard to cover up the issue to shield his son, officials were running out of words to defend the allegations and their version that the verification was done seven times before giving the jobs stands out as a joke, a press release stated.
Jagan cited the examples of how jobs were allegedly given without writing any exam under sports quota. Jagan claimed that 39 jobs were given in sports quota where some of them had provided certificates that they participated in a tournament that never took place in Khammam.
Jagan alleged that one person and his sister were given jobs under the sports quota as a family pack on the basis that they won medals in the Kho-Kho Championship held at Nalgonda, but such a competition was never held, a claim that he said was backed by the Telangana Kho-Kho Association. Jagan claimed that another person in Kurnool district was given a job without writing TET, despite getting only 65% as against the requiste 75% marks.
"We are fighting the issue even in courts, as the system is getting rotten with such irregularities and blatant cover-up bids, Chandrababu government has tried to repeat the same modus operandi in APPSC exams to fill the posts in the Forest Department using the Sports quota handle but had reverted after we exposed the DSC scam," the former CM said.
"The scam began with giving the responsibility of preparing the question bank and also conduct of exam to the same person, and the leakage came out when the outsourcing person got access to the paper, got first rank, and his name was deleted from the merit list. Though there was audio-video evidence that the jobs were on the offer, the case was not pursued in the manner it should have been done," Jagan Reddy added.
Jagan Reddy said that the entire exercise had a telling effect on youth who were working hard to write the competitive exams. (ANI)
