Patna (Bihar) [India], August 14 (ANI): Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai led a Tiranga Yatra in Ujiarpur Lok Sabha constituency on Friday as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.
The Tiranga Yatra was taken out under the leadership of Rai, covering the area from Mohiuddinagar Assembly constituency to Morwa Assembly constituency under the Ujiarpur Lok Sabha constituency.
Thousands of party workers, youth, and patriots participated in the Tiranga Yatra, riding motorcycles and carrying the Tricolour in their hands. The atmosphere resonated with slogans of "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" and "Vande Mataram."
On the occasion, Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai said that, at the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign has become a powerful movement of the public and is taking the spirit of patriotism, unity, and national integrity to every section of society.
People from all walks of life have enthusiastically joined the Tiranga Yatra and the campaign with a deep sense of respect for the Tricolour and pride in the nation, Rai said.
Rai further said, "The Tiranga is not merely a flag of three colours. It is the heartbeat of every Indian, a symbol of our honour, dignity and pride, and an immortal reminder of the sacrifices made by our brave heroes."
Former Bihar BJP President and Ujiarpur Lok Sabha MP Rai appealed to the people of the country to hoist the Tricolour at their homes on the occasion of Independence Day and take a pledge to contribute towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of building a developed, self-reliant and empowered India.
Meanwhile, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Friday flagged off a Tiranga rally and participated in the Tiranga Yatra in Haveli Kharagpur as part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign ahead of Independence Day. During the event, Choudhary paid a floral tribute to Dr BR Ambedkar at Ambedkar Chowk, Haveli, Kharagpur, and participated in the celebrations centred around the national flag. (ANI)
