The prestigious event was graced by Mr. S. R. Jangid, IPS (Retd.), former Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, who attended as the Chief Guest and delivered an inspiring keynote address.
Mr. S.R. Jangid is a distinguished police officer of the 1985 batch of the Indian Police Service (IPS). During his illustrious career, he played a significant role in strengthening law enforcement in Tamil Nadu and is widely recognised for leading successful operations against the notorious Bawaria gang in the early 2000s. His exceptional service was recognised with the President’s Police Medal for Gallantry and the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service.
His real-life investigations and leadership during the Bawaria operations later inspired the acclaimed Tamil film Theeran Adhigaaram Ondru, bringing his contribution to policing wider recognition across the country.
