VFS Global expands Korea visa services across South Asia to six centres in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh

New Delhi [India], September 15 (ANI):  VFS Global has announced the expansion of South Korea visa services across six centres in South Asia.
In India, VFS Global operates Visa Application Centres in New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kolkata.
The new Visa Application Centre in New Delhi was inaugurated today by Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to India, Lee Seong-ho.
The inauguration of the new visa centre will help provide applicants with a more personalised and convenient visa application submission experience, a press release said.
With the recent opening of Korea Visa Application Centres in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and Colombo, Sri Lanka, VFS Global now manages six Korea Visa Application Centres across three countries in South Asia, making a total of nine centres across six countries globally.
“This expansion comes as VFS Global celebrates 25 years of enabling global mobility and connecting people, businesses and governments through trusted visa, passport and citizen services worldwide,” the release said.
Commenting on the launch, Ambassador Lee Seong-ho said this is an important step in further strengthening the relationship between the Republic of Korea and India.
“The new centre has been designed to provide applicants with seamless, efficient, and accessible application experience. We appreciate VFS Global’s continued support and look forward to further strengthening our collaboration to facilitate travel and promote greater people to people exchanges between the Republic of Korea and India.”
Yummi Talwar, Chief Operating Officer - South Asia, VFS Global, said that reaching six Korea Visa Application Centres across three countries in South Asia “is a significant milestone in our partnership with the Republic of Korea and reflects the growing demand for Korea visas among travellers across the region”.
“This milestone also underscores our commitment to continually enhancing the visa application experience through upgraded services, modern facilities, and highly trained teams, making the journey more seamless and convenient for every applicant across South Asia.”
VFS Global's role in the visa application process is limited to front-end administrative tasks only, which include collecting visa application forms and required documentation as per the checklist, and enrolling biometrics. VFS Global has no role in the decision-making process of granting or refusing a visa. The decision to grant or refuse a visa is the sole prerogative and sole responsibility of the concerned Embassy, the release said.
The release said that VFS Global is a global leader in trusted technology services, empowering secure mobility for governments and citizens and has been the trusted partner of the Government of the Republic of Korea for visa processing services in India since 2011, operating state-of-the-art centres in New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Bengaluru.
