New Delhi [India], September 2 (ANI): Congress MP Kumari Selja on Wednesday welcomed the appointment of retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra as the first CEO of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, saying she hoped he would do good work in the new role.
Speaking on the appointment of the new trustees and CEO, Selja said that Mishra had served the country by protecting it and expressed hope that he would perform well in his new role.
"I don't know about others, but the CEO is a (retired) Air Marshal. He was dedicated to protecting the nation. We hope that he will do good work. But we don't know the background of the others," Selja said.
She also referred to an alleged theft that took place earlier and questioned the status of the investigation into the matter.
"We saw what happened earlier. There was theft right under their nose, before the government. There has been no answer to that so far. There was a so-called SIT. We still don't know where the crores of rupees went. It must have gone to just one place," she said.
Earlier, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust on Wednesday appointed three new trustees and named retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra as the first Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
Delhi-based Mahesh Bhagchandka, Ayodhya-based Madan Mohan Pandey and Shikohabad-based Dr Nirmala Yadav will join the Trust as new trustees, the Trust's interim general secretary Krishna Mohan announced in a press conference.
Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra (Retd) will take charge as the new CEO of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Ayodhya.
The appointments were announced after a meeting of the Trust began at Shri Maniramdas Chhawni in Ayodhya earlier today. The meeting was convened to discuss and decide on the appointment of the first CEO of the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir. (ANI)
