Haryana CM Saini lauds state's contribution to armed forces, sports and industry at Mumbai summit

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 24 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini addressed the 'Haryana 2.0 Investment Summit' in Mumbai, emphasising the core values of hard work, honesty, and staying connected to one's roots while lauding the immense contributions of the people of his state across various sectors.
Speaking at the event, CM Saini said, "There is no religion greater than hard work. There is no greater wealth than honesty, and there is no greater relationship with one's soil. A tree can go as high as it wants, but it remains connected to its roots."
Highlighting the entrepreneurial spirit of the state, the Chief Minister expressed pride in seeing industrialists from his state expanding their footprints in the financial capital.
"Today, it is a matter of pride for me that you have come from Haryana to Mumbai to set up a big industry...The people of Haryana have created their own identity in every field," he said.
CM Saini further praised the remarkable contribution of the state's youth to the armed forces, noting their unparalleled dedication to protecting the nation.
"Today, our youth stand at the border for the defence of the country; every tenth soldier in the country's army is from Haryana," the Chief Minister said.
Praising the state's dominance in the global sports arena, Saini added that athletes from Haryana consistently bring laurels to the nation on international platforms.
"Our youth have created that identity in Haryana today, be it the Olympic Games, Paralympics, or Commonwealth Games. If India comes with a gold medal, then Haryana would have the number one position in it," he added.
Later in the day, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini paid a courtesy visit to Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis at Varsha Bungalow in Mumbai also.
Taking to his official handle on X, the Haryana Chief Minister shared details of the meeting and highlighted the collaborative efforts between the two states.
"Today, during my visit to Mumbai, I had a heartfelt meeting with the Honorable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri @Dev_Fadnavis ji, at his residence. On this occasion, there was a meaningful discussion on several important and contemporary topics," CM Saini posted on X.
He further informed that the two leaders held detailed talks regarding the 'Shaurya Smarak', a memorial dedicated to the Third Battle of Panipat, which holds deep historical significance for both states, particularly the Marathas.
"Additionally, there was also a discussion regarding the proposed Shaurya Smarak for the Third Battle of Panipat to be built on 16 acres in Kala Amb, for whose construction the governments of Haryana and Maharashtra are working together," his post added. (ANI)
